Yhwach
The Quincy King and primary antagonist of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc — an near-omniscient villain built to be resistant to conventional power scaling.
Yhwach is the King of the Quincy and the central antagonist of Bleach's final arc, the Thousand-Year Blood War. He's introduced as a threat operating on a different scale than any prior villain in the series — able to see fragments of the future and absorb the abilities of those around him.
Powers
Yhwach's defining trait as an antagonist is that he's specifically designed to resist being solved by raw power alone. His precognition lets him anticipate attacks before they land, and his ability to steal or neutralize opposing powers makes conventional escalation — a character simply getting stronger — an unreliable strategy against him. Fights against Yhwach tend to hinge on tactics or abilities that work around his precognition rather than through it.
Role in the story
As the final arc's central threat, Yhwach's presence forces nearly every major character to find an approach that doesn't rely on simply out-powering him, which is a large part of why fights against him have produced some of the series' more unconventional turning points.
