Kinta Sakata
An ally of Momo and Okarun in Dandadan, known for building and piloting custom mech-like vehicles, including the "Kinta Top Cannon" used against the Dragon Knights.
Kinta Sakata, also referred to as Rokuro, is an ally of Dandadan's central duo, Momo Ayase and Ken "Okarun" Takakura. He's distinguished within the cast by his knack for building and piloting custom vehicles, a skill that becomes directly relevant once the story's conflicts scale up to the point where raw personal power alone isn't always enough.
The Kinta Top Cannon
In the ongoing battle against the Dragon Knights, Kinta arrives at the battlefield alongside Bamora, Mantisian, and Chiquitita aboard a newly built vehicle he's constructed himself — the "Kinta Top Cannon," a nanoskin-based mech. Its arrival draws immediate attention from the enemy side, with one of the Dragon Knights questioning what happened to her party's advance squad, underscoring just how disruptive Kinta's timing and firepower are to the fight already in progress.
Combat role in Chapter 245
When a character named Hase attacks, Kinta ejects the cannon section of his mech to dodge and transforms the remaining structure into an aerial combat form, using it to reinforce Momo and Okarun, who are already engaged with the Dragon Knights. That sequence establishes Kinta less as a traditional physical fighter and more as a tactical, technology-driven presence within the group — someone whose contribution to a fight comes through engineering and timing as much as raw combat ability.
Why he matters to the arc
As Dandadan's conflict against the Dragon Knights continues to escalate, Kinta's engineering-driven approach gives the series' ensemble another dimension beyond straightforward power scaling — reinforcements built and piloted on the fly, arriving exactly when the story's leads need backup most. That makes him a character worth tracking as the arc moves toward whatever confrontation is coming next.
